    10th Annual Art Outdoors

SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) -- Today in Monroe County, residents had the chance to showcase their artistic talents at the 10th annual art outdoors.

The event took place at Paul and Matilda Wegner Grotto Park in Sparta, a historic art site established during the Great Depression. Many of the artworks on display were created by Paul and Matilda Wegner themselves.

Attendees were invited to draw inspiration from the park and create their own art, offering a unique opportunity for many to explore their creative side.

"As we get older in life as adults we don't take a lot of opportunities to try art. This is a safe place to try art again," said Jarrod Roll, Director of the Monroe County Local History Room and Museum.

Participants had the opportunity to engage in three different art forms, including clay sculpting, mosaic making, and oil pastel painting.
