A Quiet and almost fall-like Labor Day Weekend

W H AT WE ARE TRACKING: A dry and seasonable stretch of weather is expected through Labor Day weekend and next week.

NEXT 24 HRS: Sunny skies are anticipated on Saturday before some clouds dig south for areas north of Eau Claire towards sunset as a cold front brushes northern Wisconsin. A few showers cannot be ruled out for these areas during the late afternoon or evening hours. Overall, temperatures fall into the 50s by Saturday morning before climbing into the upper 70s to middle 80s by the afternoon.

LOOKING AHEAD: A temperature drop is expected on Sunday as cooler air digs south into the region behind a cold front. High temperatures will fall behind average on Sunday and Labor Day before warming back to near or slightly above average (middle70s to low 80s) through Thursday. Another system passes through late Thursday, resulting in another temperature drop for Friday and the weekend (middle 60s to low 70s). The system's rain chances currently look very low, but that could change. Seasonable temperatures (middle to upper 70s) should return for the start of the following week.
