UWL and Western Tech students move-in

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- Thousands of college students returned to La Crosse for the new school year.

Move-in started on Wednesday at both Western Technical College and U-W La Crosse.

Over the next five days, Western welcomed 200 students to its residence hall, while at UWL, about 3,000 students moved in over the next six days.

The residence life director of western technical college says his goal is to make moving easy for students and their families.

"My goal is to create a less stressful experience that you would see at bigger universities. granite we only have 195 people moving in over the course of 5 days, but my goal is to make sure they get off on the right foot," said Orion Roen, Residence Life Director at Western Technical College.

During the moving process, there was increased traffic on streets closer to the colleges.
