    Man accused of La Crosse drive by shooting takes plea deal

    Suspect in drive-by shooting accepts plea deal

    LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- The man accused of a La Crosse drive-by shooting took a plea deal Tuesday.

    32-year-old Deandrew Grant is accused of shooting at a crowd of people on 3rd Street in June 2023.

    Grant appeared in court Tuesday for a pre-trial hearing where he plead guilty to single counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, substantial battery intended to cause bodily harm, and possess firearm-convicted of out-of-state felony.

    As a result of the plea deal, his 25 remaining charges were dropped.

    Grant will appear in court again on Nov. 1 for his sentencing hearing.
