    Western Technical College hosts welcome-back party

    Western Technical College welcomes students for fall semester

    LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- On Tuesday, Western Technical College hosted a welcome-back block party that also celebrated the launch of its new 7-week class format.

    The program aims to condense 15 weeks of classes into 6, 7-week sessions each academic year.

    The college president stated that the response to the new program has been largely positive.

    "Feedback from the instructors have been strong. I think everybody is ready to get started. It was a lot of work, it was 3 years of building for this this," said Roger Stanford, Western Technical College President.

    Attendees of the block party enjoyed complimentary haircuts, free food, and received information about resources both on and off campus.
