Eggs from Wisconsin farm recalled due to Salmonella outbreak

MADISON (WKBT) -- The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is investigating a multi-state Salmonella outbreak linked to eggs from a Wisconsin farm.

According to a release, 65 people in nine states have been infected, including 42 people that live in Wisconsin. The eggs were distributed to stores and restaurants in Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois.

Egg containers labeled with "Milo’s Poultry Farms" or "Tony’s Fresh Market" have been recalled. This includes all egg types, carton sizes and expiration dates.

The DHS is urging Wisconsinites that purchased the recalled product to throw them away. If you consumed the recalled eggs or experience Salmonella symptoms, the DHS says to contact a healthcare provider right away.

Salmonella symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever and vomiting that lasts for several days.
