La Crosse event supports the Hunger Task Force with an annual Harvest Fest fundraiser

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- An event in La Crosse kicked off fall by giving back.

Saturday, True North Chiropractic hosted its 4th annual Harvest Fest to raise money for local organizations, such as The Hunger Task Force, which aims to provide food for those in need.

Last year, the fest raised around $1,000, and over 600 non-perishable food items were donated.

This year, they hoped to exceed last year's donations.

The office manager for True North Chiropractic said it was important to uplift the community and the people struggling in it.

"Our mission is to enhance lives, and there is no better way to enhance the lives of our community by being out here and throwing a big event. we know that this community definitely has a lot of hunger in it, people struggling with that, so we partner with the hunger task force each year to give back and help support that need, " said Hannah Siech, office manager, True North Chiropractic.

Attendees could enjoy live music and support local vendors and were encouraged to bring food items or donate money to enter a raffle.
