    Special Fester Ball announces winner of Oktoberfest special fester

    LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- The Special Fester Ball was held at All-Star Lanes today to announce the winner of this year's Oktoberfest special fester.

    Quincy Sykes has been named the newest royal family member.

    He says he is most looking forward to the parades and brats the festival has to offer.

    The ball has been a part of the Oktoberfest traditions for almost two decades.

    Ellie Hundt helped start Oktoberfest after the death of her daughter who also had special needs.

    Every year community members send in nominations to be named special fester and join the Oktoberfest royalty family.
