Pepin/Alma hangs on to defeat Melrose-Mindoro by 8

Despite a scare from the Mustangs, the Eagles stayed unbeaten with a 16-8 result at home.

It was the lowest point total of the year by far for Pepin/Alma, but their defense stepped up when called upon to keep the perfect record alive.

Melrose-Mindoro dropped their third game in their last four, a few tight games in that bunch and they'll hope to get back in the win column next week against Whitehall.

The Eagles have an important matchup on the road against the Pirates of Cochrane-Fountain City.
