La Crescent-Hokah shuts out Shaeffer Academy 4-0

The Lancers struck for two goals in each half lifting themselves to a Class 1A Section 1 first round victory.

Ian Wood got the scoring started less than 15 minutes into the match with a long strike that was too tall for the keeper than Gram Evenson also scored one from long distance to double the hosts' lead.

Mitchell Reining would score two more after the intermission to add some cushion. AJ Falat was only so busy in net for La Crescent-Hokah with five saves in the contest.

The Lancers will now fight to keep their season alive Wednesday on the road against St. Charles/Lewiston-Altura.
