    Onalaska common council meeting

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- The Onalaska Common Council held a public hearing Tuesday night regarding the "Live ONA 2040 plan" and retention of Onalaska Police Officers.

Common Council passed the "Live ONA 2040 Plan" unanimously.

The plan covers everything from city development, housing affordability and the historic preservation of the city.

The council also passed items in hopes to retain city of Onalaska Police Officers.

Items passed include officer bonuses, as well as moving up their scheduled raises from July to the beginning of the year.

Officers will now also be able to carry over un-used vacation, holiday, and personal days over to the next year.

Many officers have not been able to use all of their days due to staffing shortages.
