Fire Protection Specialists offer free inspections and safety training at Bangor event

BANGOR, Wis (WKBT) -- The Fire Protection Specialists also participated in the action with their own Fire Prevention Week event. Wednesday.

The event took place in Bangor and offered free extinguisher inspections and opportunities to purchase new smoke alarms and participate in hands-on live burn training.

"If You can get that fire out when its incipient stage that first 30 seconds to 2 minutes is vital. You can probably have that out and under control, or at least you and your family out safely before the fire department arrives, so the fire extinguisher is your escape route," said Brian Clark, extinguisher manager and fire protection specialist.
