Tradition continues at Viterbo University with 6th annual Day of Giving event

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- A Viterbo University tradition came back Thursday.

The university kicked off its 6th annual Day of Giving in the Reinhart building.

The event's goal is to raise money for scholarships and special projects for students.

The vice president for advancement at Viterbo University said donating is a great way to show the university you care.

"We're out there, we're out in the community as much as we can, so showing your support to Viterbo is just kind of a good way of saying we recognize that you're important to the community and we want to give back," Bob Van Wicklin said.

Last year, the event raised more than $320,000.
