Huebsch Campaigns With SE WI Congressman

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) -- The Republican candidate for Wisconsin's 94th Assembly District says he wants to put western Wisconsin back on the map.

Ryan Huebsch is running against incumbent Democrat Steve Doyle for the district which now covers northern La Crosse County and parts of Trempealeau County.

On Thursday Republican Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) joined Huebsch in front of Onalaska's Sunny the Sunfish.

Steil said Wisconsin needs Huebsch in Madison to lower costs and bring common sense to state government.

Huebsch said when he knocks on doors, voters tell him they don't want to be considered an afterthought in Madison, they want lower costs at the grocery store, and they want to feel safe.

"We are right between Minneapolis and Chicago. We see this drug stream right through in La Crosse, and it's just--we're not safe anymore," Huebsch said.

The 94th district ranks second in Wisconsin in financial campaign contributions.

Doyle and Huebsch squared off in 2022. Doyle won reelection by about 800 votes.
