    Arrest made after a man was killed near the Asian Garden Mall in Westminster

    Yesterday, at approximately 5:45 AM, police officers responded to the 9200 block of Bolsa Avenue (at the Asian Garden Mall ) regarding calls about a male who was down, bleeding from the head, according to the Westminster Police Department .

    The police officers arrived at the location along with members of the Orange County Fire Authority to find a male down with serious injuries.

    The male was pronounced dead at the scene and a homicide investigation began.

    Westminster Police Detectives along with Crime Scene Investigators arrived and continued the investigation throughout the day.

    Using investigative leads and a lengthy canvass of the area, Detectives identified a suspect and located him at a nearby shopping center.

    The suspect, later identified as Hoa Le , was taken into custody without incident. The motive for the attack is unclear at this time.

    Le will be booked into Orange County Jail for PC 187(a) – Murder. There currently does not appear to be any outstanding suspects or further threat to the public.
