    Summer Bucket List(NewsBreak)

Summer is here and as places cautiously open up, we want to help locals discover the best summer activities. NewsBreak is launching a #SummerBucketList creator content campaign to help our users find fun events, unique traditions and interesting activities before school is back in session.

The #SummerBucketList article or video doesn’t need to be an actual list, but something you would include on your local list of things to do this summer. We aren’t just looking for your review or a brief summary of an event. Your story should be original and include all the context and information that someone would need to enjoy the experience themselves. This usually means reaching out to an expert or someone in charge, speaking to others to learn about their experience and including original photography or videos.

    Content campaign requirements*:

    • You must be an approved NewsBreak Creator (you can sign up to be a creator if you aren’t one already)
    • You must publish a U.S. local story on NewsBreak related to a summer activity, event, tradition, etc in your area
    • Each article must include the hashtag #SummerBucketList at the end of the piece, and videos must include the hashtag in the video description (content published without the hashtag will not be eligible for selection)
    • Content must be original and must be published first on NewsBreak
    • Simply adding the hashtag and republishing content that you’ve previously posted on our platform will be disqualified
    • All stories must be submitted to NewsBreak by 10 a.m. PT Thursday, July 29
    • Content must follow Creator’s Content Policy and Requirements

Three winners will be announced by August 3. Winners will receive gift cards** that can be used at local businesses or local experience. The selection and prizes will be:

    • Editor’s pick for best article: The winner for best article will receive $200 to support local businesses.
    • Editor’s pick for best video: The winner of best video will receive $200 to support local businesses.
    • Most shared: The most shared story (article or video) will receive $100 to support local businesses.

Each selected story will be promoted on our platform to your local audience and to all our followers through our social media accounts. Creators are also welcome to enter more than once (with different stories of course, you may not post the same story twice or republish stories you have already published).

*You must further comply with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and NewsBreak Creator Content Requirements, to the extent that those requirements have not been altered by the Campaign requirements. Winners must be located in the U.S.

**Prizes will be paid through a Visa gift card. While we cannot limit your use of your gift card, we expect you to honor your use of the card.
