Meet Our Creator of the Month: Neha B

Our Creator of the Month series shines a spotlight on the amazing writers and video producers who make NewsBreak the vibrant space it is today.

July's Creator of the Month is Neha B who is based in Dallas, TX. Since joining NewsBreak's Creator Program in early 2021, she has produced nearly 100 pieces of local content ranging from inspiring business stories to event spotlights, and has accumulated over 1000 followers. Her stories help locals within her community discover the best of what Dallas has to offer. Read on to learn more about her NewsBreak journey below!

Why did you apply to become a NewsBreak Creator?

I have always loved writing. I am one of those people who write long Instagram captions because it feeds my writing soul. A lot of people suggested that I should write professionally. Being a full-time SAHM (Stay-At-Home Mom), I did not really think it could happen... I learned of NewsBreak's Creator Program and it had everything I needed: flexibility to write on my own time, choose my own topics, and it just gave wings to my writing dreams.

What do you do when you're not reporting?

I am a full-time mom of two little boys, 3.5 years old and one year old. I am also a content creator. I love decorating my home and I share bits of home decor and organization with a mix of motherhood.

What advice would you give to other creators who want to be successful on NewsBreak?

Reporting local stories doesn’t mean having to report breaking news. Every local business has a story, just ask for it! And if you build a story from this background, your content will always be original.

Anything else you want to share?

I just really want to thank NewsBreak and the team for giving this opportunity to me and to help me grow. It's been a learning journey and I’m excited for what is to come!
