NewsBreak is celebrating Earth Day by launching a content campaign aimed at helping local communities discover unique ways to protect our planet. NewsBreak contributors are encouraged to share the creative, innovative and fun ways people can give back on Earth Day, April 22. This could be a story about an initiative your town is taking, an amazing person making a difference or a business that is invested in protecting the earth.

Entering the content contest is easy. Simply post a local story related to Earth Day, tag Protecting the Earth, and you could be entered to win some amazing prizes.

🌎 1 Editor’s Pick 🌎 $300* The Editor’s Pick is decided by the NewsBreak Editorial Team and awarded to content that best captured the meaning of the campaign and provided quality content to the audience.**

⭐️ 2 Star Contributors ⭐️ $150* The two contributors who posted the most stories related to the topic during the campaign period will be awarded the Star Contributor prize.**

🌱 3 Top Stories 🌱 $75* The top three stories with the most page views during the campaign period will be awarded in this category.**

There are a few more rules you should know. Here are the content campaign requirements***:

• You must be an approved NewsBreak Contributor
• You must publish a local story (city or county) on NewsBreak relating to the environment
• Each eligible post must include the campaign tag Protecting the Earth
• Simply republishing content that you’ve previously posted to NewsBreak will result in disqualification
• All stories must be published on or before April 20, 2022.
• Content must follow our Content Policy, Requirements and Editorial Standards & Guidelines
