This was a pivotal meet for both teams with a state tournament berth on the line.The Falcons placed seventh with a team score of 84 while Axtell placed 13 with a team score of 51.5. There were 24 schools present at the invite.Three wrestlers qualified for state for Wilcox-Hildreth be- ginning with standout Graiden Ritner who became a district champion at the 150 lb weight class. Brody Patterson was able to pick up a second place finish at the 138 lb weight class while Gavin Patterson stamped his trip to Omaha with a fourth place finish at the 120 lb weight class.For Axtell, two wrestlers qualified for the state tournament with Taaron Lavicky capping off his impressive season with a district championship at the 165 lb weight class. Lavicky's record on the season speaks for itself, sitting at an impressive 39-1.
