The Eagles (7-2) got on the board first in the top of the first inning when Lawson Pasley scored from third after a walk by Patrick Henry pitcher Andrew Perdue with bases loaded.Patrick Henry scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth inning to cut the lead to 6-5. Andrew Lamm singled scoring one run, Graham Taylor drew a walk, scoring one run, a wild pitch by FC pitcher Braden Mullins scored another run, and Mickey Proctor singled, driving home adding two more runs.Franklin County answered back with five runs on three hits in the top of the sixth inning. A double by Reid McElvain scored one run, followed by a single by Ashton Richards to drive in two runs. Eagle’s shortstop Tyler Gibson doubled scoring one run, and an error by Patriots shortstop Andrew Perdue scored Tyler Gibson to put Franklin County ahead 11-5.The Eagles added runs by Hill and McElvain in the top of the seventh to extend the lead to 13-5.Braden Mullins earned the win for Franklin County. He surrendered one hit and two runs over four and one-third innings. Striking out three and walking three.Andrew Perdue took the loss for Patrick Henry. He went three innings, allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking seven.Wes Hill pitched two innings of zero-run ball for the Eagles in relief. The reliever gave up one hit, striking out three and walking none.Franklin County amassed eleven hits in the game. Reid McElvain led the Eagles with three RBIs and Wesley Hill led the team with three hits in three at bats. James Holley collected two hits for Franklin County in four at bats.The Eagles were patient at the plate, piling up ten walks for the game. Pasley, Ashton Richards, Mullins and McElvain led the team with two walks each. The Eagles stole eleven bases in the game and turned one double play.Malcolm Mazyck, Andrew Perdue, Preston Halsdorf, Mickey Proctor and Andrew Lamm collected one hit apiece for the Patriots.Taylor and Proctor led Patrick Henry with one RBI. The Patriots also turned a double play. Franklin County (7-2) travels to Roanoke to face William Fleming on Friday April 19 at 5 p.m.</div></body>
