This marked the second split of the season for PAS, who also did the same against conference foe Windom on Tuesday, April 9. Douty also was the winning pitcher, allowing two earned runs on six hits and four walks. She struck out eight in a 108-pitch performance. “She didn’t walk a lot of batters,” noted Petersen, who complimented Douty on her change-up pitch which helped diffuse Marshall’s hot bats. (Photo by Eric Viccaro)</figcaption></figure>Alyssa Enger and Kaitlyn Adelman spearheaded the Arrows’ three-run rally to win that second game. Enger walked and then scored on Adelman’s line-drive double to left. Jersey Fenicle served as Adelman’s courtesy runner, and she moved to third base on a well-placed Amyra Mahik bunt. Marshall’s only play was to throw out Mahik at first. Then Rieck served as the Arrows’ unsung hero on an innocent pop fly single that dropped in front of Marshall right fielder Naya Grahn — with Fenicle scoring the game-tying run, leveling the score at 2-all. “Amyra’s sacrifice bunt and Sienna’s clutch hit, those two things got us going,” Petersen said. Mahik was the lone Arrow to have a multiple-hit game, and Kailyn Burmeister also doubled as part of the team’s offensive output. The Arrows also helped their own cause with just one error. Arrow batters had trouble picking up Morgan Bjella’s herky-jerky left-handed delivery, especially early in the contest. Bjella fanned 15 Arrows in all. Douty and Enger were both 2-for-3, including a triple from Kaysa.
