<div>The Refugio County Retired School Personnel met Thursday, April 11, at the Presbyterian Church in Refugio. Elected officers for years 2024–26 including President Cindy Clendennen, First VP Rosemary Lara, Second VP Irma Ramirez, Secretary Patti Borglund and Treasurer Shanna Bass were sworn in by Refugio County Judge Gigi Poynter.”Congratulations to these ladies, and your dedication is greatly appreciated.”The RCRSP wishes to thank Judge Poynter for taking time from her busy day to assist with this special occasion. Items on the agenda included information about the fundraising raffle at the Refugio County Fair where Refugio County citizens helped the club reach its goal to fund three $750 scholarships for Refugio County seniors.President Clendennen stated, “We are so pleased with the turn out and thank everyone who donated items and purchased tickets for this great cause. Our scholarships will be fully funded due to the two fundraisers we held.” Raffle winners were Cindy Stanley, Ginger Boucher, Deb Bauer and Gary Lamprect. Scholarship recipients will be revealed upon graduation in May.Lastly, April is TRTA’s membership drive month so local members will soon be contacted for their extended membership. Once again TRTA’s membership goal is 100,000 and Refugio County can help reach that goal. Upon closing, door prizes were won by Ramirez and Borglund. The next meeting will be in September.</div>
