    Maine school districts struggle with rising costs of special education

    If districts would staff their SpEds appropriately the need for outsourcing would be lowered. Or they could use the additional Fed funding through IDEA, specifically designed for this purpose. The problem is under qualified and uniformed school employees being the majority of this hiring pool. This increases the turnover rate from burnout in an already high stress field.

    What people really need to be asking is why so many special ed kids? Diet, vax, addicted mothers, 1 parent household?
