Smart decision. The bad guys are fearless. They don't expect to survive in their rampage so armed teachers won't be a deterrent. The bad guys are smart enough to come armed to the teeth with many more times the firepower any delusional wannabe Rambo teachers could stash inside their desks or closets. All the teachers will accomplish is become an unintentional target for the SWAT team when they mistakenly see an adult they don't recognize holding a gun in an active shooter situation resulting in friendly fire and crossfire in the fog of war. This new law is just a decoy to deflect away from the real culprit, i.e. to do nothing about the easy access by civilians to the weapon designed specifically for the military to use against the species created in God's image. Civilians have no business owning them. The problem is the weapon of choice for senseless mass tragedies, not unarmed teachers.

Keep on opting out so the shooters know where it is safe for them to go. As for me, I want my children in a classroom with a well trained, well armed, well respected teacher.
