I have no problem helping those who need it, but the commissioners already tax the crap out of us and waste a ton of the current money they take in. At what point is enough, enough? We can't continue to use property taxes as a vehicle for everyone's pet projects. There must be some tradeoff. These that get this benefit, must in turn, provide a benefit for the rest of us that are paying. Clean up parks, remove graffiti, clean the Grand River, whatever. They must return the benefit in an appreciable way and quit taking without giving.
