    As Charlotte Traffic Grows, NC Leaders Just Announced A New Highway Around Raleigh

    This has nothing to do with Raleigh. This will connect 85 to 95 from Greensboro to Fayetteville.

    the new interstate will have more to do with Greensboro or Fayetteville than either Raleigh or Charlotte. US 421 is going to get redone and become I 685. Saying "just south of Raleigh" is a bit of a stretch here.
