I got scammed on an engagement set and a man's diamond ring, I paid $7,000 for the engagement set from JCPenney at the meadowood mall in Reno Nevada. and I took them in to get cleaned and the jeweler noticed that the diamonds were throwing off a slight pink and red glimmer and I he told me that diamonds will do that when they have been drilled and have had there inclusions taken out, and was basically a worthless diamond and the only worth the mans ring has is the gold band, and same went for the engagement set, the diamonds were appraised as many made diamonds and cubic zirconia and I specifically asked for real diamonds and they assured me that they were. I spent over $17,000 that morning for wedding rings that were all appraised for less than a total of $500 all together.
