The people of Skidmore got the justice the legal system repeatedly denied them. Sometimes, it's best to leave things unsolved, but if you really want to investigate and try to find answers in this case, investigate the judges and attorneys that continually released him, even after he shot and attempted to kill someone in cold blood. The legal system refused to protect Skidmore, so Skidmore did what they had to do to protect their own.
