ME/ CFS patients have been around for a very long time. They have just just been ignored and labeled psychological. Along came long covid, and suddenly, there were thousands of people suffering with conditions that are similar or the same as ME/CFS people, and the problem could no longer be ignored. I guess it is better late than never, but some of us with ME/CFS have been sick for a very, very long time.
