Teens come to Portland because Portland is known for harboring runaways. I moved to Portland in 1984 at 18 yrs old and went to a lot of clubs and trendy hangouts for teens. We just called them "street kids" but they got services and aid, no questions asked if they said they came from an abusive home. It's only ramped up since then. A few did have bad homelives, but most just wanted freedom and to party and didn't like school or their parents rules.

As a parent I pray for all the teenagers period not all the troubled teens people hear about go unloved people care about their kids still .sometimes kids go against their family that Love and care for them because the teen wants to be stubborn and prove a point they can take care of theirselves.Parents go through shit too and still Love their child I'm just saying.
