I can think of a dozen ways this case can go, it’s one thing to claim adverse possession, but if your not the one paying the taxes and it changes the lot size I would guess that Mr Felag would probably not win in court, one would think that the bank holding the mortgage would be putting up the fight for them since it’s they whom stand the most to lose from this.
