Interesting. Newer generations will read this article and think they know about Vegas buffets. WRONG. They will only know the current Vegas "buffet" situation. What Vegas buffets used to be and what helped bring in the tourists no longer exists. The "real" buffets back in the day ran 24/7, offered American all-you-could-eat dishes, plus often added Mexican, Asian dishes, and many, many desserts, etc. Plus a beverage, all for a relatively low price. Somewhere between $12 to 14.99 per person. All hotels/casinos had them. What happened to them? The pandemic and its inflation. The hotel/casinos businesses all saw an opportunity to dump them because they weren't real money makers for them, never mind the huge draw to tourists and locals alike. Now, Vegas buffets are expensive, very few, and the real buffets of yesterday are badly missed by locals and older tourists.
