People move back in the same places it floods every time. They know it floods. If you live on the river you Will flood during a major storm event which brings water from Georgia. I am sorry for the loss people are going through. FYI go to the SRWMD for information on 100 yr, 10 yr and floodway zones before building or renting.

why are you so shocked. Everyone who live in northeast of Florida, knows living close to the swannee river is a flood zone. This want be the last time. People in these flood zone builds their homes on poles. Hope everything turn out ok, but remember it not the last time this will happen
