Sounds like NBC's Morgan Pressel got a little too excited over this Brooke Henderson shot on Friday at the Women's Olympic Golf Competition. And by too excited, we mean Pressel seemingly dropped a hard F-bomb on live television, and it didn't appear to be an accident. There was no quick apology. This was not on a "hot mic." And, for the life of me, I can't seem to come up with anything she "could have been" saying here. It genuinely sounds like Pressel says that Henderson was "f---in' fired up" after this approach shot into a par 5.

Standing over her third shot on the par-4 15th on Friday, Slovakian Ladies European Tour pro Pia Babnik was just outside of the podium places. Her tee shot had just found the water, but at one-under on her round following a scintillating 66 on Thursday, Babnik just needed to salvage bogey to keep herself in the mix heading into Saturday’s decisive finale. Instead, she shanked one so far out to sea it might have landed in the Mediterranean.

Phil Mickelson indicated he would step aside from playing should his performance continue to fall short of his desired standard. Mickelson, speaking at a press conference earlier this week promoting LIV Golf’s Chicago event in September, was asked about his career intentions going forward. Mickelson turned 54 this summer, and though his battle against Father Time has been admirable, his game is clearly on the decline. He’s 44th in LIV Golf’s season-long standings, cracking the top 20 of an individual event just once in the Saudi league’s 54-player fields, and his team is 12th out of 13 clubs. He’s finished inside the top 40 just once in his last 12 major starts.
