However, there was one modern update that was missing -- ray tracing. Well, that’s no longer the case after Shirokii released a mod that includes realtime path tracing for Doom II.

Capcom has been firing on all cylinders lately. From bold sequels like Dragon’s Dogma 2 to awe-spiring remakes like Resident Evil 4 to original IPs like Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, it seems like the company can do no wrong. And it’s success like this that allows the Japanese publisher to reach into its prolific catalog and dust off fan favorites like Dead Rising. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster ($49.99) is a top-to-bottom visual remake of the original zombie-slaying action-adventure game from 2006, with a host of quality-of-life changes that make the game more accessible to modern audiences. We got to play the upcoming remaster (available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S) ahead of its September 19 release and have some initial impressions.
