Joe Walsh has announced his VetsAid benefit will return for its 8th year with a lineup featuring Eric Church, Toto, and Kool & The Gang, in addition to Walsh himself. Set to take place Monday, November 11th at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY (located 30 minutes from Penn Station or Grand Central via LIRR), VetsAid 2024 will mark the show’s first return to the East Coast since it was founded by Walsh 2017.

Gregg Allman’s solo career will be commemorated this fall through the release of Gregg Allman Band – Uncle Sam’s, a full-length concert recording that also serves as the inaugural drop from the late guitarist’s personal archive on his posthumous label, Sawrite Records. The impending capture presents one of rock-and-roll’s most significant players alongside his eponymous band as they launch what will go down in history as the start of a chart-topping solo career for Allman. My first time attending a show at the Bethel Woods Center for the Performing Arts in Bethel, New York, was on July 9, 2006, for the Phil Lesh & Friends / G.R.A.B. (Phish‘s Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon and The Duo’s Joe Russo and Marco Benevento) tour. It was a confusing time for band members and Phish fans alike. Here we were less than two years removed from Phish’s messy breakup at Coventry, and Trey was leading a quartet of the same instrumentation as Phish, playing music that wasn’t exactly a massive departure from their sound.

Additional dates for the East Coast have been revealed. Due to overwhelming demand, The Doobie Brothers have announced additional New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut dates for The 2024 Tour. The band will play The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on September 30th and October 1st, the Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey on October 4th, and the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on October 5th. The 2024 Tour follows The Doobie Brothers’ 50th Anniversary Tour which has had Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons, and John McFee back on the road together for the first time in over 25 years.
