We gave it a 9 in our review, calling it a "thrilling, heart-pounding movie about the importance of journalism in times of conflict, about how easily we become desensitized to violence when we're living through it." Later, we described it as "a great deal more skeptical of itself and its characters than it has gotten credit for."I Saw the TV Glow also received an IGN 9 ahead of its theatrical run that started in May. The film, widely seen as an allegory for being transgender, tells the story of two high school students who begin to question reality after their favorite TV show is canceled.
