greed. pure greed. why? money making scheme. particularly 'room for rent. indiv. are paying for their own debts. the property owners yearly taxes, insurance, and anything else not associated with renting. like past due debts they may have. the renters are suffering having to try n pay these super sky high amounts. it's no wonder why there are more people homeless. affordability.I've fallen into being homeless for that reason. has anyone figured out how much per sq. ft. they are charging? I wonderare we paying for prime real estate in California?

As a widow I would love to find an more affordable place to live. My current rent is $2050.00! Which is killing me financially! I didn't ask to be a widow and be in this position at my age! Widowmaker heart attack at 47 yrs old killed my husband 10 years ago!
