    Should cellphones be allowed in the classroom?

    absolutely not. this notion drives me crazy. some people like to make the argument of "What if there's an emergency??" if that's the case, a call can be made to the front office & the student can take the call there.

    My wife teaches high school and she has been collecting phone at the start of class for a couple years now. It is part of her attendance. Ever since then she noticed and uptick in people passing her class because they can pay attention. It works people!!! If there is an emergency you can call the front office and they will call the teachers phone whose class your kid is in.
