The title of the article should actually be "Georgia Power improves efficiency, reduces THEIR costs using unmanned aerial systems", because consumer cost will only continue to increase. Plain and simple, they're saving themselves money to pocket by lowering the quality of inspection. They're literally rolling out fly-by inspection instead of having actual boots on the ground physically inspecting critical infrastructure. This could have remained an internal memo, because it won't benefit the consumer one bit.
