Rick – a desperate, poor construction worker – makes a deal with a dying business mogul to inherit his billions. Rick soon discovers that the deal, involving eating the man's corpse, also means that he has been cursed to inherit the man's terrifying sins - the many crimes the billionaire committed in order to build his fortune. The film stars Carter Shimp as Rick, Elizabeth Laidlaw, Marcelo Wright, & Larry Yando. This sounds and looks absolutely disgusting and horrifying. What a concept! The trailer for the latest Francis Ford Coppola movie, “Megalopolis,” premiered on Wednesday. 

Soon after, Lionsgate studio recalled the trailer. 

“Lionsgate is immediately recalling our trailer for Megalopolis. We offer our sincere apologies to the critics involved and to Francis Ford Coppola and American Zoetrope for this inexcusable error in our vetting process,” a Lionsgate spokesperson told The Post. 

“We screwed up. We are sorry.”





In the trailer, the on-screen narration said, “True genius is often misunderstood. One filmmaker has always been ahead of his time.”
