Oscar-winning indie studio A24 just dropped the trailer to Y2K, a horror comedy that, as its name suggests, centers on what some thought would be the end of the world, the so-called Y2K bug. While in reality it didn't come to pass, in the film it does. Unfortunately for high school losers Eli and Danny -- Jaeden Martell from the It films and Deadpool 2's Julian Dennison -- it comes after they've managed to sneak into a New Year's Eve party with the popular kids. One of those is Rachel Zegler's Laura, the object of Eli's affection. When the clock strikes midnight, all hell breaks loose in the comedy directed by and co-starring Saturday Night Live vet Kyle Mooney.

A24 has released the trailer for its upcoming horror-comedy film, Y2K, featuring Limp Bizkit‘s Fred Durst and The Kid LAROI – watch the trailer below. The film, due for release in December, stars Rachel Zegler and IT‘s Jaeden Martell in lead roles as a couple of teenagers who attempt to connect with one another at a New Year’s Eve party on December 31, 1999. As the party counts down to 2000, Y2K takes full effect, and machines all around the world rise up to end the human race.

	A24 has released the official trailer for the apocalyptic comedy “Y2K,” starring Jaeden Martell, Rachel Zegler and Julian Dennison. 'Friday the 13th' Prequel Series at Peacock Taps Brad Caleb Kane as New Showrunner




	Per the official logline: “On the last night of 1999, two high school juniors crash a New Years Eve party, only to find themselves fighting for their lives in this dial-up disaster comedy.”




	The trailer shows several homicidal machines in “Y2K,” including a Tamagotchi drilling a whole in a someone’s head, a VHS player hurling tapes at high school students, and a pink toy jeep lighting someone on fire.
