Recently, there has been a lot of talk online regarding Ricky Stark’s future, with him not having been featured on AEW television since March. Additionally, when you add that his contract is known to be expiring later this year, many suspect he may intend to join his close friend Cody Rhodes in WWE. And now, indicating that it is a genuine possibility, Fightful Select has reported that WWE has a significant interest in the former NWA wrestler. 34-year-old Starks signed with AEW in 2020 after an impressive tryout match against Cody Rhodes on Dynamite. Subsequently, he became very good friends with his opponent on the night, even being spotted backstage at the 2023 Royal Rumble. However, speculation would go to another level, which would commence once he was spotted at WrestleMania XL, watching Rhodes finish his story in person.

In troubling news, PostWrestling.com has reported that TNA talent Rich Swann was arrested back in June for disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance. According to the police report that has just been discovered, Swann attempted to forcefully enter an apartment and later caused a woman distress by following her. Police would, therefore, arrest Swann with it alleged he smelt of alcohol and his speech was slurred. Additionally, it was noted that Swann had been arrested for the same offense in September 2022, although that didn’t get picked up by the media at the time. However, with TNA having now been made aware of these arrests, the promotion has issued a statement disclosing that their former World Champion has entered rehab and is suspended while an investigation is carried out. 33-year-old Swann looked set for big things when he signed for WWE in 2015, although after being arrested for domestic violence against his wife and fellow wrestler Su Yung, he departed the company, with it claimed to be by mutual agreement. Still, despite his reputation being tarnished, after the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence, he began getting booked again, leading to him joining TNA, then called Impact Wrestling in 2018.
