This is so far from the truth. For years there have been sellers who sell themselves and buyers who have chosen to go direct to the listing agent. Sure that will still happen and there are still more people who very much see the value in hiring a professional. I’ve helped many people buy and sell and have specifically built a business on helping owners who tried to sell and ultimately hired me. I consistently sold the property for more money than they weee even asking on their own in many cases and helped them get to close of escrow and more importantly to the next chapter of their life. We aren’t buying a pair of socks people. Homes are a major asset and likely the largest financial decision people will make. Hire a pro!
