I use to live at Oakwood Apartments, 7620 N. El Dorado St. (in an apartment in the s/w end of the complex) ... And about 11:00 PM, several years ago ... there were a couple of gals returning from El Dorado Bowl, the driver was reported to be drinking, and the 1986 Chevy Nova hatch back (a rebadged Toyota Corolla - although I am aware, there is no such thing as a Toyota Corolla hatch back) ... slammed into a pine tree in the middle of the island (between n/b & s/b traffic, and that car got hard enough, it lifted off the ground, and landed in the n/b side (it had been travelling south bound) ... The driver got lodged underneath the dashboard, and the passenger, not wearing a seatbelt flew out of the vehicle, landing in the s/b side of the road ... this is my reminder to not DUI 🚫🍺🚫
