No thanks. My family knows my wishes and will respect them. I didn’t like being around a bunch of people I barely know now, and I don’t want fake mourners in death. ND has made a habit out of making funerals a spectacle for the masses. Maybe there are other states out there that have done this as well. But when my grandpa died, we had a viewing for everyone to attend. The service was for close friends and family only. If my family would force a service, I would want it to be like his. People don’t need to grieve someone they barely knew.

you don't need a $5000 casket to have a funeral. a large picture of them on an easel and a gathering of friends and family telling stories and reliving memories will accomplish the same thing.
