Taylor Gymnasium.After going 0-11 in 2021, 0-19 in 2022 and 0-16 in 2023, the Lady Steers have a 48-match losing streak dating back to a 3-2 win over Paul Quinn on Oct. 26, 2019.“I’m expecting us to come out and compete, definitely work hard as a team, come together, get to know each other and build a family unit,” Texas College head volleyball coach Sonora Armstrong said.Armstrong was joined by sophomore setter Kristen Stewart and sophomore outside hitter Briana Johnson at a fall sports media day at the CHRISTUS Orthopedics &amp; Sports Medicine Institute on Aug. 1 to talk about the 2024 season.“I would say the goal is to do better than we did last year,” said Stewart, a former Carthage High School standout who is the daughter of Tyler High volleyball coach Dawn Stewart. “It’s going to take a lot of hard work, but I feel like our teammates, including the new recruits, have been working hard to come in and change the program.”“The key to us having a strong season is us being together and all being on the same page,” Johnson said.Texas College is back home on Friday to host Southwestern Christian at 4 p.m.</div></body>
