So glad my daughter had enough respect to put her phone up during school hours. Unfortunately, we now live in a society where everything is ok until it isn't. Hell, when I was in school guys use to hunt then come to school with their rifles on gun racks mounted on back windows of trucks. We just have folks with 10ft tall and bullet proof attitudes. There were many fistfights but we didn't have schools being shot up. I'm just waiting on someone to start identifying as a cellphone just to start more nonsense instead of parents teaching their kids to not be on the phone or risk losing it.

I do love not having to say, "Put your phone away" 100 times a day. Y'all, I had the kids tally per class the number of missed notifications they had after school on day one. One class in one hour had over 1200. That's how often one class in one hour would be otherwise distracted. The kids have them in the backpack. I have no doubt that if something goes down, it would STILL get caught on video.
