The store employees reported seeing a woman and a child walking through the parking lot. They added that the woman was pulling on random car door handles. When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with Batts and her five-year-old daughter. Officers observed Batts pulling on the handles of a vehicle, and when asked what she was doing, Batts stated that she was looking for her keys.
