I live in a low income senior apartments and after the hurricane we had no generators or electricity. A lot of the people here are in there later years and had to sit in the extreme heat unable to even get out of there apartments because we have 3 floors and two building so with the elevators not working the ones that are in wheelchairs and depend on walkers were stuck in their apartments. Unable to get help. A lot of the seniors stay to themselves which is happening all over our country. It was 8 days and came on I believe around 8 pm on the 8th night. It was extremely difficult and I thought it was strange that the electric company would have a list of all senior facilities. Anyway I am very thankful no one died here but you lose hope waiting that long. I know others were out a lot longer and I am so sorry but something needs to be done for sure.
